COVID-19 testing now available to Key workers with symptoms

The government have now made COVID-19 testing available to key workers who display symptoms of COVID-19. Home test kit availability will initially be limited but more will become available in the coming weeks.

What's involved in a COVID-19 test?
The testing process is quick and painless and involves taking a swab of the nose and the back of the throat at one of the 30 drive-in centres currently available with more opening by the end of April. Am I eligible for a test?
The government have opened up testing to millions of key workers around the UK, you can see if you qualify as a key worker here. Nurses, GPs, Paramedics and all NHS and social care staff are included as key workers.

How do I book a test?
You can book your COVID-19 test on the Gov.uk website here. If your test results returns negative, you can safely return to the amazing work you're currently doing.

How long will I have to wait for the test results to come back?
The government are aiming to return test results within 48 hours of the swab being taken, or within 72 hours for a home test.
