Attack of the Illiterate

Recently a petition has been created that calls upon revising the state policy on enrolling people at higher education programs. The authors of the document try to state that non-white students are discriminated on racial basis - they aren't allowed to studying in colleges and universities.

Everybody knows there's a great racial problem in our country which manifests itself in higher education as well. However, the conclusion that discrimination is the cause that few non-white Americans study in universities is an unfounded stupidity and populism, which has transformed into the 50/50 program.

Discrimination starts when a minimal difference between two groups is noticed. That means the greater the difference, the stronger the discrimination is. What the democrats try to do is to make the difference stronger and not to eliminate it. Simply put, the foolish petition won't solve the problem, but will make it bigger.

Just have a look at how white and colored families live in America on average! There's an enormous social and economic abyss between them. The problems in the higher education are just the tip of the iceberg! Colored people just don't have money to give their children education. There's a great number of research in the web proving that fact. Of course, the problems will manifest themselves in every aspect of live in conditions like that. The democrats' approach in that context is a silly attempt to use the state budget to invade our universities with people who would never go to them on their own.

The consequences of these populist steps are obvious to all thinking people. Our higher education will be uncompetitive in five or ten years because of absence of professionals. Just think how one can get and apply higher education if can't even successfully finish a high school? Anyway, we've had quotas for talented athletes since long ago. It doesn't matter if you can't get through with your intellect. Show your skills in sport and America will help you!

Anyway, I'd like to remind the fighters against discrimination a simple truth. Every imbalance in the rights (even when they're widened) of a group leads to increase of aggression towards it by other groups that don't have these rights. The 50/50 petition is a typical case of making inequality stronger under the pretext of fighting it! The document mentioned will just sow discord within our society and won't bring positive results if adopted.
